About

You've just arrived at the online residence of wandie and reika. The two of them are NO LONGER separated (but are still inseparable) by a vast ocean and two and a half continents. They NO LONGER need to communicate by shouting really loudly and occasionally writing each other hidden messages in this blog. Feel free to poke around and post some comments.

I'm back from a long weekend with the daisies in Kuala Lumpur. Spent about 125SGD on the coach rides, food, some casual attire, and foot reflexology. Had fun trying on clothes and comestic products. Screamed in the middle of the road and was laughed at by random strangers. Retribution for jaywalking. Was too fussy about their toilets and therefore decided not to drink water. Deadly mistake. Am suffering from severe dehydration. My throat is killing me and blowing my nose every 5 minutes annoys the hell out of me.

Yes, yes, you can now start bidding for items for the Tsunami Relief Auction!

Some changes though. Since the Red Cross will be ceasing their donation drive efforts next Tuesday, we've decided to move the auctions from eBay to Yahoo. Also, the time period per time has also been reduced. Please remember that 100% of the collection will go to charity so bid generously. Even if you're not into cycling yourself, do let your friends know about it.

Well enough talk. Go bid now!

The disaster may have been taken off the prime time news sections but we've not forgotten about it one bit. Over on Togoparts, we're hosting a Tsunami Relief Auction this entire week on Yahoo with 100% of the bids received going straight to the Red Cross Society's efforts in the affected region. If you're looking for a bike or parts of one, or if you know a friend who is, or even if you just want one of those LiveStrong yellow wristbands everyone has, then please click here.

Also in no particular order.

Found a job. Working in a giant IT firm doing Database Marketing. I go through the huge database and put potential clients into different groups so that the marketing team can apply different marketing strategies at different target audience to achieve more effective results. It takes after the switch versus hub concept. Attended the third wedding in 2004. The bride was gracious enough to offer her stylist to do my hair. Had to slowly take off the 20 pins in my hair and apply double dose of shampoo and conditioner afterwards. But it was worth it. Had gatherings with random groups of people. Some are getting married, some are married, some are no longer with the partners I last knew of. Gained 3kg in the last 2 weeks. Smiling everyday as I step off the weighing machine. Had my pedicure done just before the voucher expire. Received the best technical service so far. Did some talking to Wandie. No concrete plans yet. Still trying to sleep at 10.30pm. Almost mission impossible. Should be attending my first taiji class this Tuesday. And I miss British advertisments.

Some recent pictures.

Well here's a quick update from my side in no particular order.

Exams are over, had a foul weather weekend last couple of weeks. Not as bad as the Tsunami affected areas. Donated part of ERS to the Singapore Red Cross, donated some more to the British Red Cross. Made a short trip back to the Bullring for Christmas shopping, bought cute g-strings for the girl *for my eyes only*, had a diarrhea-inducing, pimple-producing 'malatang' hot pot in the run up to Christmas and settled for safer option of pizza and chips on the actual day. Made good progress on project, promised to make further good progress. Have a new female housemate aka refugee from Norwich/U of East Anglia. Have to start locking the loo door again. Watched lots of documentaries that made me fear for future generations of the Lian clan. Hellboy rocks, Blade Trinity sucked. The Incredibles didn't live up to the hype. Cracked the magical 50 karma on Plastic. Can now critise submissions with impunity. Still coding for Togoparts, not anymore for Backbone Technologies. They still host this site though so be nice!

That's all from me here in the grey midlands. Now back to reika in the studio...

It seems that entry 100 broke the old site. I wonder if this one will too...
