About

You've just arrived at the online residence of wandie and reika. The two of them are NO LONGER separated (but are still inseparable) by a vast ocean and two and a half continents. They NO LONGER need to communicate by shouting really loudly and occasionally writing each other hidden messages in this blog. Feel free to poke around and post some comments.

We're taking a week's break in Hong Kong!

After waiting out a whole week of rain, we've finally managed to get the King of Mountain race going this morning. Thanks to all participants and volunteers who helped out! A pity we had more supportors and spectators instead of participants but it's a start though. We're already thinking of race number 2 some time later this year.

More fancy photography from the race by our resident shutterbugger can be found here.

Here's another one of those infrequent pimping posts I do for Togoparts and Oneshift.

I would like to bring to your attention to a fun little race we're holding this Sunday morning at Mount Faber. The Togoparts.com King of Mountain (*cough* hill *cough*) will be a fun race taking you up to the peak of Mt Faber. After body marking at the Morse Road Junction assembly area, you will be put in groups of 2s (or threes) to be flagged off. Overall winner is the one with the fastest individual timing. One run only. Winner gets a King of Mountain icon attached to his/her nick, and bragging rights for a year. Yep just bragging rights and no prizes. But if you're able to complete the course on a unicycle, I'd personally throw in a free t-shirt just for you. This will be followed by a brunch at approximately 1100hrs at the Seah Im hawker center opposite Harbourfront. Even if you don't a ride up yourself, why not come down and cheer on your friends and admire the pain on their faces?

Over on Oneshift, we've started something called Project.C (where C stands for Contribute). Participants stand a chance of winning a brand new 2GB iPod Nano with in-car charger simply by contributing to the community! By posting an advertisment, participating in the discussion forums or even posting a car review, you can accumulate 'points' that entitle you a chance at winning this slick new baby. Too bad my 167 points aren't worth anything coz I'm helping out on the site already :(

Last Christmas, The Lord invited Eve to feast on turkey and chocolate log cake at his palace.

The Lord: “How have you been, my dear?”

Eve: “It has been a great year. Good weather, good land, good seeds. I’ve got a good harvest!”

The Lord: “Ahh, anything else I can do to give you a better new year?”

Eve: “If only I had more land. Fertile land that is. Only then I can enjoy double the harvest while putting in only half the effort.”

2 weeks later, The Lord ordered Adam to marry into Eve’s family. Adam was a fat bachelor who owned a reputably fertile land that produced better harvest than Eve’s. He earned a humble living by selling his yield to his wealthy restaurant-owner mother at an incredibly low price.

The Lord demanded that Adam should axeexercise to keep trim and lean so that he would look good for Eve on their wedding day. HE also insisted Eve would be the rightful owner of his land when the young couple exchanged their wedding vows before HIM.

Adam and his mother were unhappy with the arrangements. But they knew they had to obey His wishes. Adam didn’t love Eve, but he knew she must be the love of his life for HE knew.

Very soon, Eve took over Adam’s land and expanded her farming empire. Like HE expected, Eve reaped better harvest than what the couple achieved separately last year. One of the notable reason being Adam was pressurized to sell his produce at a high price to his mother.

Praise The Lord! (roll rub eyes in amazement of HIS incredible power and strategies)
