About

You've just arrived at the online residence of wandie and reika. The two of them are NO LONGER separated (but are still inseparable) by a vast ocean and two and a half continents. They NO LONGER need to communicate by shouting really loudly and occasionally writing each other hidden messages in this blog. Feel free to poke around and post some comments.

An excellent session last night. Love to chat about it but CNY errands are top priority now so I'll let the photos do the talking.

Oh gosh, it's been almost a month since the last update hasn't it? We've been hard at work and at play and I just couldn't find the time to blog about it. And then when things begin to wind down slightly, the procrastinator in me starts to take over...

Well here's a note of what we've been up to at work. I'll get to the personal stuff in another post.

A bunch of us Yahoos headed to Bali for a weekend of 'bonding' at the Hard Rock Hotel. The heat was intense, the food poor and the beer bland but damn did we have a blast! The shopping was fun. The girl had a luxurious spa treatment while I managed to check out a small slice of the clubbing scene. And we both had our first white water rafting experience! I'd highly recommend Sobek Bali if you're interested in trying out the rapids in Ubud. This is another destination destined for a return trip.

We also had the pleasure of meeting up with our own hackmeisters Chris and Leonard who came with the definitive word on all things Hack. Thank you for your encouraging words and tips. Hope the both of you enjoyed the crabs!

We've also updated our movies site with two new features. You can FINALLY write reviews and rate movies (yes yes this is so 1990s) and there's also a microsite focusing on the upcoming Oscars. And there's also a localized Yodel! blog called Grapevine that we'll be using to spread news and gossip in and around the South East Asian region.

And apparently I'm heading to next week's E27 meetup and I just found out that they have it listed us as a 'Mystery Event'. That's a sure way to raise expectations. *GULP*

Oh oh, and then there was the launch, and crash (due to overwhelming response) and launch again of Yahoo! Pipes on Friday. If you always wanted to do mashups but lacked the programming know-how, this visual drag-and-drop tool might be just the thing you need to get going.
